Inspiration from Bella Thurber:
As the director of the site, my inspiration stems from the remarkable journey of my dear friend, Bella Thurber. Bella, a fourth-generation organic farmer hailing from Brattleboro, Vermont, embodies the essence of sustainable farming. Our paths serendipitously crossed in a quaint yellow house back in 2020, where Bella’s vibrant storytelling and unwavering passion for farming captivated my soul. Over the years, our bond deepened, and Bella shared poignant tales of summers spent toiling in the fields, intertwined with the enduring connection her family shares with the land. From harvesting fruits and vegetables to crafting maple syrup and nurturing cows for milk, Bella’s family epitomizes the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature. Her mother’s iconic red truck, peddling soft ice cream, and her father’s dedication to producing CBD oil from CBD plants epitomize the resilience and ingenuity ingrained in family-owned farms like theirs.
